The MCDSS has a variety of services in the county including the cities of Salinas, King City and Seaside. The MCDSS mission statement is very clear and precise in what they value and how they will help others value themselves. They have one goal and one goal only, to help serve the client.
The Park Ridge Country Club was started by Dr. A.G Buchheit and a group of people that shared interest in starting a country club in 1906. The golf course was designed by Herbert J Tweedie and was originally a 9-hole course but later was changed to an 18-hole course. The course was also recently renovated in 2001 the course was restructured by David Esler to make it better for the golfers by redesigning certain holes. The clubhouse was created in 1925 and has been remodeled over the years. The country club hosts several tournaments throughout the year.

Banner Health was formed when two nonprofit hospitals, Samaritan Health and Luther Health, joined forces in 1999. Lutheran Health provided services since 1938 to the west and Midwest; they were a respected health care and were well-known (Banner Health, 2018). Samaritan Health provided exceptional clinical experience to California and Arizona starting in 1911. Morehouse School of Medicine is an appealing option for pursuing my medical education. When reading Morehouse’s mission statement, improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities grasped my attention. My clinical experiences revolve around communities that are underserved, and sharing the same mission as Morehouse is key to becoming the physician I aspire to be. One of the things that stood out to me about Morehouse is the student run Good Samaritan Health Center. I am very interested about being involved with God Samaritan, because it is akin to the Siloam Family Health Center that I volunteer at, and it is an embodiment of Morehouse’s mission.

Lubbock Christian University is a private Christian higher education institution. LCU comes from a Church of Christ background and implements their beliefs.
