Susan Wojcicki was born in California, in 1986. Her parents taught her how to do business at a very young age. After graduating from Harvard, she worked for a software company that made her realize her passion for technology.

In 1999, a few months after Google relocated out of Susan’s garage where the company started, she joined the organization and became their 16th employee and first marketing manager. Wojcicki has developed products that currently generate the largest amount of revenue for Google. She is now YouTube’s CEO. AdWeek recently called her the most important woman in advertising.

Susan is a Structural Leader since she knows every single part of the company to which she works for. Even more, she thinks in a long-term form, which she has proven several times. Before purchasing YouTube she knew that Google could revamp the site and multiply the profit. When she became CEO of YouTube, she didn’t waste time and started changing everything, from the work environment to the profitability for authors of the videos posted. While at Google, she developed two products, Google AdWords and AdSense, which represent 96% of the revenue that the company currently makes.

Wojcicki demonstrates she is a Human Resource Leader with her patience and tolerance. As she said to Makers: “Being a mother has also changed my view on so many things. I think it’s made me a better manager. It’s made me understand the ups and downs and really seeing the human side of a lot of things. It’s made me really tolerant and patient. Overall, being a mother has been a really important part of my
