Fitbit is a technology-based company headquartered in San Francisco, California. Currently it is a public company also knows as, FIT. Fitbit is devoted to fitness and health, while their focus and mission is to create products that will transform the lives of their users by encouraging healthy and active lifestyle. The founders, James Park and Eric N. Friedman incepted Fitbit in May 2007 (http://www.fitbit.com/about)

The creation of the company came after the creators recognized the power and capabilities of wires and sensors and their application to fitness and health in people’s everyday life. So what is Fitbit? Although, they understand that achieving health and fitness goals might be a challenge, they feel that it should not be challenging to record and create more progress. According the Fitbit’s website, Some aspects that distinguished Fitbit from other employers is that within the organization Fitbit promotes its employees to stay active by providing treadmills and fitness education. They also provide onsite food for their employees with a variety of healthy options and team meals to promote unity. They set up different fun activities, which will promote teams and members to get to know each other.
