Mission: Unilever is committed to supporting sustainability and providing our consumers around the world with the products they need to look good, feel good and get more out of life.
INTRODUCTION
A mission statement is a written statement on - Who we are? What do we value? And where are we going? This communicates to the customers, employees, communities and investors on the core values of the organization for its existence.
This paper is to analyze the company Unilver N.V. (https://www.unilever.com/) on whether their website reflects the mission statement. Therefore, several key components of their missions have been identified and they are; supporting sustainability, look good & feel good, get more out of life. These three key components form the core values of the organization and the reason for their existence.
SUPPORTING SUSTAINABILITY
In supporting the mission - supporting sustainability, a dedicated web section “Sustainable Living” was developed in their home page (https://www.unilever.com/sustainable-living/). The Unilever Sustainable Living Plan encourages people to change action through behaviour change programmes as well as working with Unilever Foundations and other partners around the globe to broaden their impact. Furthermore, they have clearly indicated their action plan, strategy and results in how “Sustainable Living” is being achieved, as highlighted below:
