My choice to become a teacher was not so lightly. The decision I made to choose a career in the education field was not made until this year. Before I realized that I wanted to become a teacher, my mind was set on a career in the medical field. I thought nursing was what I wanted to do since I wanted to help individuals get better and improve their lifestyle. I realized that a career in medicine was not truly for me. I knew that I wanted to help people in any way I could no matter in what way. Then I realized how teaching is the great profession in which you still can help individuals grow as well as help make a difference in their lives. As soon as I realized that a career in education was something I can see myself in the future doing I jumped straight on the wagon. I like to see the progress and the ability the children, teenagers, and adults have, to grasp a subject meanwhile having a comprehension of what was taught to them and later applying it to their lives. As a teacher, I would love to be the one who can make an impact on someone’s life and be able to help them achieve greatness. The more I think about why I want to teach, the more I start to realize that I want to teach to make a difference in education. As a future educator, I do believe that everyone should have the opportunity to receive the best education that is available for them. I want to be part of the learning experience, and help students expand their knowledge to the next level.
