Making the decision of what career path you want to follow in life was always simple for me. Nursing, nursing was the path I thought to be my destiny. Growing up in a family that comes from an education background, I always had a strong interest about going into education as my own career choice. My choice of teaching as a career was not made lightly; rather, it was the process of reflection about what I have already accomplished and what I want to do with my life. Throughout the past decade of my life I have inched my way into the path of education without even realizing. At the age of 14, I became the founder of a third through fifth grade youth group teaching children the word of God. For six years, I coached gymnastics at a local gymnastics gym and two years ago I landed a job as a middle school cheerleading coach at the school I grew up in. Teachers have the chance to persuade and impact a child’s life. We can encourage them and help them grow to be the better and strongest being they can be. That is what I want to do. I want to help encourage children to be healthy and physically active. I want to show them the importance of health and staying active. How great would it be if we could show our children the importance of living healthier lifestyles? My goal is to influence children and help work to lower the obesity rates in our society today, and to do this, it starts with our children. I want to be part of this noble profession, teaching. My passion for children and drive to help them learn how to better themselves and live a healthier, happier lifestyle led me to choose education, physical education, as my career
