Do you remember a teacher who influenced you? What were they like? What made them so amazing? When I was five as many people I started kindergarten. My teacher, Mrs. Spinning, was amazing she taught me so much and we enjoyed it. I remember one day we were working on spelling and to help us practice and remember she put shaving cream on the tables and let us write the words and play. She always made us, as students, feel welcomed and a needed in the class. Mrs. Spinning is an example of the type of educator I want to be. I was lucky enough to have these amazing all the way through my elementary career and believe every child should. What does it take to be a teacher and to be good at it?

Learning is a lifelong skill and preschool teachers kids the important in a fun creative way. "Every child should have some sort of group experience before he starts kindergarten," says Amy Flynn(cite) Preschool teaches kids important life skills like socializing and what school is like without them getting overwhelmed. The studies all show that preschool is beneficial to expanding children’s learning horizons. Parent’s magazine says "At preschool, they become exposed to numbers, letters, and shapes. And, more important, they learn how to socialize -- get along with other children, share, contribute to circle time." America is behind in almost all of the categories in the graph below. And the only thing we are ahead in is funding. If the children aren’t in the schools, learning then all the funding is for not. By age four, one year away from entering Kindergarten, only 69% are enrolled in a school type setting, where France is at one-hundred percent.
