A positive classroom management starts with me as a teacher, my attitudes and the way I behave. establishing good routines gives good class beginnings I inform them with our class rules to be agreed upon after a discussion taking into consideration their opinions .I enforce our rules(principles) fairly and consistently. I try to memorize their names as a way of motivation and encouragement "hey the teacher knows my name". Sometimes I need to call on them by name.
I help ,encourage, motivate facilitate, mentor and respond to the students difficulties. It is the teacher's role to guide. Teaching enables students to learn by getting the students attention and attracting them all the time, students need to interact with an adult who has higher experiences. I think one of the challenges that may face me during teaching in the USA is the beginning inside my classes. As the proverb says "well begun ,is half done "I hope it will not take a long time to get my students accustomed to my way of teaching until we get acquainted with each other. This will be possible by breaking the ice and paving the way to build a good rapport. First the teacher may show some firmness but he should not be very Linnet in other occasions but something in between. I hope I can keep them engaged all the time by attracting their attention to the Middle East and Arab culture. Egypt is the meeting point between continents, so it is a very rich source of information. The world got a Small village in the globalization system .Once they are given the keys to information and Arabic resources
,they can navigate, set off alone with a little guidance on the teacher's part.
The language is a bridge that connects two sides, especially classroom language that should be clear and easy not to lead to misunderstanding. No confrontations ,no physical violence or even verbal offense
