Life- long scholars in an educator’s perspective would be the constant desire of wanting to learn something new. Whether it is my first year of teaching or my tenth, I want to keep up with technological advancements that are occurring in classrooms worldwide. I want to research techniques that will allow the growth of my students both academically and emotionally. I want my students to fully immerse themselves in the units I teach. I want to make my lessons interactive whether its through group projects, using the smart board, or by connecting my topics to real life situations. Throughout my career, I hope to see the growth of my students both academically and emotionally. I want to keep in contact with my previous students throughout their whole academic career. I feel that my duty as a teacher can only be fulfilled once I see the success of all of students. I want my students to feel comfortable contacting me with any questions or concerns they may have. Once I know about these concerns I can try to see if I could assist them in any way. An example could be talking with other colleagues about suggestions, keeping in contact with parents, or even discussing a possible solution to the administrative faculty. I want my students to know that I will always be with them no matter if they are in a good or bad situation. I want to find a way that could help that particular student succeed. My educational vision can be seen as wanting to help my students recognize their strengths and ultimately achieve accomplishments that they may never have thought of before. It is also important to keep in contact with colleagues and parents\guardians about current events. Guardians should be aware of their students academic progress both good and bad. Another important relationship to have is with your administrators. Trusting your administrator allows growth within your students’ academic knowledge. Having that mutual relationship allows your students to have respect for other members of faculty as well. It is important to set good examples within your school day as an educator. Teachers should have responsibility for their words and actions both inside and outside the classroom. Professional organizations such as NAEYC, Head Start, and Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years allows educators to notice what they can improve within their classrooms.
