Many teachers are known for being good educators as it affects a child's life. In Dr. Montessori and Colin Powell's Ted Talk about how kids should be educated or should be treated as both express ideas about how children should be treated. While both disagree and agree both Powell’s and Montessori hope for the best for the child's education.
In Powells and Montessori hand book both of Powells and Montessori both explain about kids' structure and how kids need to be raised. Furthermore, Powell says “ I make them come up and stand in front of me. I make them stand at attention like a soldier”(Powell Para 2).
As Powell wants readers to see that if kids were to have structure they would respect you and they would talk to you saying yes as they are acting like soldiers. …show more content…

An example is when Powell says “In 18 weeks, they have skill. They are mature. And you know what, they come to admire the drill sergeant and they never forget the drill sergeant. They come to respect him. And so we need more of this structure and respect in the lives of our children”(Powell Para 5). While Powell is trying to say that in 18 weeks of school children learn how to admire their teacher as they are also mature as they now also have skill. This then leads to causing the child to improve. For this is how Powell teaches his education as it is different to Montessori teaching. As Montessori said “It is necessary for the teacher to guide the child without letting him feel her presence too much, so that she may be always ready to supply the desired help, but may never be the obstacle between the child and his experience”(Montessori Para 1). For this reason it leads to Montessori telling the readers that it is necessary for the teacher to guide the child and be ready to help the child when needed. For this can lead the child to being
