Terror Leaders Tools and Techniques Utilized on Followers For leaders of terrorist organizations to be effective, they first must be able to have a certain type of personality and charisma (Hoffman, 2015). Terror organizations have a need for leaders that have a knack of being able to read people and has an appeal to its followers (Hoffman 2015). To establish a terror organization that is reputable to its followers, leaders must maintain a collective belief system (Borum, 2011). Terror leaders build and must maintain organizational routines. Leaders make it a priority to control the flow of communication within and around their organization. There must be incentives for the followers that must do with politically and psychologically. For terror organizations to be successful, it is imperative that leaders keep the action headed forward (Locicero & Sinclair, 2008). Lastly, for all leaders to run an organization with an aim and purpose, they must keep out any internal conflicts (Weinberg & Eubank, 1989). When terrorist organizations experience times with no real action it can create a sense of vulnerability (Locicero & Sinclair, 2008). Leaders must keep the group in a state of readiness and recognize how evil the enemy really is and what type of a threat they can be, not just to the organization, but the overall mission as well (Locicero & Sinclair, 2008). Leaders will succeed by planning the mission and putting their plans and followers into constant action (Locicero & Sinclair, 2008). By keeping their followers busy with the mission at hand leaders will maintain and increase in number of followers to the
