While researching engineering firms, one company really stood out; this company being, Tetra Tech (http://www.tetratech.com). Tetra Tech is a company with over 400 offices worldwide. Considering I am a chemical engineering major, I really enjoy the fact that this company provides a variety of opportunities for me to explore, within my field. The company states that they are a, “leading provider of consulting and engineering services....Support[ing] government and commercial clients by providing innovative solutions focused on water, environment, infrastructure, resource management, energy, and international development.” Truthfully, that interests me because I am passionate about either creating a cleaner energy source, or finding a way to provide individuals with cleaner resources (water in particular). I am also extremely passionate about our environment, and reversing the damage we have done to our planet. Another thing that fascinates me is that this company is global, their influence reaches places like Canada, Africa, and the Middle East.
