The National Honor Society is an organization that enables high school students to help and improve their school and neighboring communities. It is an immense honor and privilege to be invited to be a member of this association, and it would be an even greater honor to actively participate and add to the existing society in ACST. Joining the National Honor Society would help me grow as a person and allow me to demonstrate the 4 pillars of NHS, in effect helping our school community and region in general. Leadership and service are both exhibited by all NHS members. This year, I have been starting to become both a silent and appointed leader in class.
National Honors Society has implemented the four pillars to ensure the development of students in all areas of life. Scholarship is an extremely significant endeavor for each student as education must be a priority. To succeed in academics, one must be motivated to pursue scholarship by working hard. Academic excellence does not come naturally for most, but requires dedication to be worthy of high scholastic merit. Leadership is also a vital characteristic of a successful student.
The National Honor Society (NHS) stands by such values as Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and character; it is these values that I strive to live by. I have received the opportunity to become a proud member of the NHS, and have been humbled by this chance. Throughout my high school career I try to be involved in anything I can help the school, from being a part of community service activities. Also, I have achieved my goal to work as hard as I possibly can to stand out among my peers. Even outside of school I have worked to uphold the values of club, and shall continue to do so if I chosen.
The National Honor Society consists of a reputable group of students that are involved in many other activities and hold themselves to the utmost standards. It is an honor to be apart of a wonderful collection of students that give their all. As all members of the NHS will attest, this organization makes their four pillars well-known and expects all students to work towards bettering themselves in those areas. Scholarship, service, leadership, and character are the pillars that the NHS built themselves upon.
I will not succeed in life if I do not fulfill my duty to accomplish my goals and work hard each and every day. I am honored to be given this opportunity to be involved in National Honor Society. Scholarship, leadership and service are three mechanisms that are equally important to me in my lifestyle.

I have always been very diligent about getting good grades, but since joining National Honor Society, I have become more focused and more organized about my school work, and many other things. It has also made me more focused about college.

I believe I meet all four of these characteristics; however, with the help of this organization, I would like to improve all of these qualities. There have been many opportunities for me to give back to the Saydel community through extensive service projects. As a lifelong learner, I continue to seek new learning opportunities that will enrich the lives of others around me. I have made many profound impacts on Saydel students and the community during my time involved with National Honor Society. I have been fully committed to learning during my time in National Honor Society, always seeking new opportunities to better my knowledge.
The four main traits of National Honor Society Students are scholarship, leadership, service and character. In my opinion, they are all equally important and all needed in the daily life. Being accepted into NHS would be a great achievement for me, because it boosts my confidence and makes me a better person while allowing me to serve others. Contributing to the community and helping others and very important in my life. I have been helping others ever since I can remember.
There are several different qualities that make up who I am as a person, but there are four that stand out when it comes to being a National Honor Society member. These include character, leadership, scholarship and service. To begin with, I feel that character is an important quality to possess. In school, I have never been written up for violating code or have served a school detention/suspension and I hope not to in the future.
They taught me that an educated person is one who can accomplish great things. They pushed me to be that person. They pushed me to do the best I can academically. An accomplishment that I am proud of is being inducted into the, “National Honor Society.” This has proven to me that hard work and dedication pays off and has allowed me to be recognized for all the sacrifices made to achieve high grades in the most challenging courses offered at my high school.
I am very proud and grateful to say that I have been given the privilege of qualifying to join the National Honor Society. It would be, naturally, an honor to be a part of such a prestigious institution. However, to do so, one must epitomize its five tenets: character, responsibility, leadership, scholarship and service. Being an avid member in the community, I have grown to embody these traits. My experience and upholding of the fundamentals of character, leadership, scholarship, responsibility, and service will readily employ me to play a part in continuing the legacy that the National Honor Society possesses Though I am an active theatre-goer, I know that character is more than a part or role in a play.
The National Honor Society is based off of four pillars; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. Scholarship is one of the most important pillars to me. Scholarship means not only doing well in school and getting good grades, but applying what I have learned and using it everyday. I know the importance of education and feel that I am a lifelong learner. I feel very fortunate to have been raised in a family where education is a priority.
All members of National Honor Society should have a good character, as I believe I do. Character is very important to me. A person who makes actions that will benefit not only themselves, but others resembles a positive character. Character defines who you are. There is something that was created by the “Character Counts!” organization; in them are the six pillars of positive character.
