The GodBearing Life is a book that has a major focus about connecting all ministers to have more personal relationships with God. Its goal is to get all ministers to develop a reflective relationship with God. While the main focus of this book is to hold a God driven life it also explains ways to apply this God focus to ministry. By rereading this book I have not really discovered anything new, but have been able to understand things in a deeper light. This book has two authors, Kendra Creasy Dean and Ron Foster. The sections of this book are: redefining youth leadership, soul tending on holy ground, ingredients of the Godbearing life, and Godbearing Practices for youth ministry. Communion stands for, to celebrate in community. Compassion may sound like something that is obvious for working in the ministry, but for those who have worked with youth for a while, they may stop feeling compassion when it comes to hearing the same subject over and over again from several different people. They main idea they are trying to compose is that compassion always wins, so share it and showing it to the youth is key. Nurture talks about how we are to guide the youth in a way that helps them find God and to fill their souls with God on a regular basis. When we do this everyone begins to feel important, it helps the youth raise their self-esteem. Witness talks about how to share stories without over doing it or stressing over it. It basically, give ways and examples to help us to tell stories in a different way. The authors are also working to help us to share stories without being perceived as being pushing. Dehabitution is about how to make the space that the youth meet in should be there help those who attend the group to relate to God. This is helpful for all to be able to see aspects that they never noticed before. The last aspect is to practice worship. Their focus through this is that every things needs to be worship, or have an element of worship. This relates back to how everything ministers do needs to have a purpose. To have everything be an element of worshiping God helps everyone know that God is the main reason for being here. All of these elements that have been listed above are what the authors believe should be in a successful ministry. For them without one of these elements you are missing an opportunity to be fully showing those that you minister ways to connect and fill themselves up with
