Bill Clinton was elected the 42nd president of the United States from 1993 to 2001. He was a member of the democratic party. During Bill Clinton's presidency he advocated a lot of of legislations and programs. Bill clinton could be most known for his work in North American Free Trade Agreement,being the president during 9/11 and for the scandal that occurred during his second term.This Scandal came to light In 1994 when Monica Lewinsky signed an affidavit Stating that she had an innoprate relationship with president Bill Clinton. Monica Lewinsky was twenty one year old an unpaid intern at the time of the scandal. Over a course of a year Lewinsky and Clinton would have an affair. One political impact would be better security in the oval office and stricter rules between interns and employees. Another impact would be the way politicians view impeachments. Many people could argue that the Scandal of Bill Clinton did not justify him being impeached but the House Of Representatives made it clear that they will stand for that believe they will not give the president immunity over certain rules and situations just because he was president. They used Bill clinton as an example to others. Bill Clinton was never charged for these two charges but was ushered out of his second term. “the damage done to Clinton's place in history is far more pronounced and probably permanent. He has also been prosecuted for the harassment of Juanita Broaddrick a volunteer for bill Clinton and Kathleen Willey a clinton administration staff member.These women aren't as known as the Monica Lewinsky scandal because there wasn’t strong evidence at the time they claimed of abuse, or it took them years to admit to the sexual abuse. To say that Bill Clinton didn’t deserve to be impeached would be incorrect. He abused his power as our president and used his title to persuade and cover the abuse he has created in the past. The House Of Representatives were correct to impeach him. This impeachment will impact future politicians in the future and hopefully help the government prevent abuse of power.
