English is described as an international language and called the language of science due to its clarity, meaningfulness and expressiveness. It is also the language of technology, , medicine, tourism, airlines, computer, literature etc. it is deemed one of the most widely spoken and written languages in the world, with nearly 330 to 360 million people speak English as their first language (Crystal, 2006). Although it is not the most spoken language in the world, it is the official language in a large number of countries as it is considered the third largest language spoken by number of people after Mandarin and Spanish languages.( Ethnologue: Languages of the World, 2015). Harmer (2001) argues that various countries are placing more importance on learning English as a second language and it becomes famous for business transactions between countries. (14)

As a great component of language, writing possesses a great importance among other skills, as it is a productive language process through which the speakers can convert their oral speech into a written form and it also allows for developing and delivering ideas into a readable form.

Writing has its origins in Islam, where the Holy Quran and Sunnah stress its importance as Allah (Glory Be to Him) says in Surat Al Qalam, verse one "Nun. By the pen and by what they (the angels) write”. Allah swears in three letters "nun" then in the pen, which is the tool of writing and finally in what the angels write in
