Nursing is a fulfilling and challenging professional which can comfort and care people in need. I am passionate about helping people and saving lives. Also, I have a great interest in medical fields, contributing to the health promotion, nursing care and education.

At the time of my association degree, I had an internship at an elderly home. During the practicum, I have an insight of the healthcare setting and the roles of a nurse. Also, there is a satisfaction in helping the client to regain independence after the nursing care. It strengthened my determination and had a great interest in being a nurse.

From the internship, I have learned that the key traits of a successful nurse------effective communication skills, careful assessment and having a wealth of theoretical knowledge and practices. First, careful assessment can help patients discovering unknown diseases and receiving an early treatment. At the time of practicum, I can always discover minor changes of the clients. If I found uncomfortable conditions from the clients, I will report to the floor in charge immediately.
