The history of the United States are founded by the ideas defined by two separate documents known as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The ideas for our nation are based off of these two documents and it establish the goals that the country set out to complete. These documents are almost 200 years old but these written rules and ideas have not always been followed through with. There were times when the people became hypocrites of their own documents and did things that contradict what they said they would set out to do. Our history does not reflect the words of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution because of the way African Americans, Women, and Native Americans were treated and valued.
On July 4, 1776 the Declaration of Independence was established. Thomas Jefferson and four other founding fathers directed a committee to draft the declaration. In the Declaration of Independence, the committee acknowledges the ingrained rights of human beings, and the way the government is supposed to protect those same rights. He then states the abuse that the English regimentation showed and commanded the colonies, which diminishes the human rights. Jefferson explains the very reasons why it’s important for the colonies to be on their own away from Britain.
The declaration of Independence says "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." This all taken away from people when the FCC uses their congressional powers to make more money. The FCC has taken away liberties that we're given to us in the Constitution, saying that "All men are created equal. " When they take away our perspectives and uses their position to make more money, it is unconstitutional. In my opinion the government should not inflict any action to make it to where we as people of America are being pushed down on so the people of Congress can step up a little higher.
From 1815 to 1850 there was a rapid change in many things, a few are geographic expansion, economic growth, and political growth. The American society benefited from these changes but, not all groups of society benefit equally. The U.S. did not fulfill the ideals of the Declaration of Independence for all people by 1850 because women and Native Americans did not have equal political, economic, or social rights. On July 4th, 1776, Thomas Jefferson published the Declaration of Independence for the purpose of explaining to the world the reasons why the colonies wanted to become independent from Great Britain. Inspired by John Locke, Jefferson explained the reasoning behind why the colonists needed to seek Independence from Great Britain.
