The Humane Society International (HSI) says that there are around 100,000 animals tested and killed in labs each year. They test medicine for headaches and sicknesses and if that medicine works it’s sent out to be sold. Animal testing is a necessary evil to keep you and a family member alive. Animal testing is bad but a lot of good comes out of it. “The animals being tested are treated like kings and queens. They get the best more expensive food out there and toys to occupy time and to keep their brains stimulated. They get their own room with beds and blankets and all different fun things to play with. The people working at the labs can not yell or hit the animals because they would be fired.” Says Joseph Hrabak who worked at a monkey testing lab. These animals consist of Dogs and cats, non-human primates, farm animals, rabbits, rats, mice, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds and pigs. The tests inflict pain on all these animals and cause distress. People in animal testing labs make this thing called “animal models” which is all various kinds of human diseases going from cancer to stroke to depression. Death of these animal’s rage from carbon dioxide poising, neck breaking, decapitation, burns, food and water deprivation and explosion to drugs. Up to 90% of animals being tested are excluded from the official statistics. British statistics show the use of more than 3 million animals each
