Guns are perceived as bad almost everywhere now. The reasoning behind this is people think if they didn’t have guns all of the shootings, bombings, and crime would all go away. The only thing that would come from taking guns away from the people is that they would be defense less and more targeted than ever by terrorists and criminals. People will always have access to illegal things such as drugs, bombs, and if guns are banned they will always be able to get them. A lot of people think if there was a gun control law that the kid that came to Harrisburg couldn’t have been able to do the shooting and none of that would have happened. We need to realize that in the world there will always be people who wanna hurt other people and even the people you love could get hurt too. Yes, he probably couldn’t have had an opportunity to shoot up the school if there was a gun control ban. I do agree with people that think it could have been prevented but they have to see something. There was a 10.9-13 homocide rate per one million people.Then in 1996 when they uplifted the ban on gun control in 2003 the homocide rate went up to 18. At the same time the British government put 20,000 cops into the country of the UK and almost immediately the amount of homocide dropped from an 18 to an eleven. If we put a gun control ban and then give the guns back there will be a larger crime rate than ever but it’s a short spike that never lasts that long and goes back to normal later on. The amount of authority around the country is a huge factor as well.
