Betsy DeVos’ name is starting to get attention. She is, after all, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for the next United States Education Secretary. But Betsy DeVos may be getting negative attention instead of a positive one. In Florida, teachers are already planning to protest against Trump’s pick.
Betsy DeVos has no idea what she is talking about when coming to how it should really be run. We should not let someone with no education experience tell our teachers how and what to teach. Betsy DeVos has never gone to a public school, her children have never been to a public school and Betsy DeVos has never taught at a public school. You would not let an uneducated farmer perform a doctor's job, the farmer would have no idea what they are talking about. Then some people say Betsy DeVos would be a good pick due to the fact that Betsy DeVos was picked by Trump and Pence.
After nearly fifty days in the White House, President Trump has done an excellent job. On his second day in office he vowed to destroy the Islamic State, and on his ninth day he fulfilled his promise of a 5 year-ban on officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government, and a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government, which was a promise kept. (foxnews.com) My favorite quote by my President Trump is “My policy is to learn from the past, focus on the present, and dream about the future. " I think that this quote describes him perfectly as a president.
Betsy Devos is a very controversial person who has a lot of problems. Many wonders if she is a good pick for Secretary of Education because if she doesn’t understand the difference between growth and proficiency what will keep her from failing. The other side argues that she is no different then from Obama's picks. Unlike other candidates, she has a big love for kids of all ages. It is very well known that Betsy Devos is very unqualified for the job from the article called Betsy Devos still loves Common Core.
Option 1 Bill Clinton was 46 years old when he went into office, making him the youngest President since John F. Kennedy. He was also the second U.S. President to be impeached; however, not just bad things happened during his time in office. Clinton was President from 1993 to 2001, and he accomplished many things for the United States during that time. For example, he was able to create more jobs and drop the unemployment rate significantly. He also played close attention to issues in the education system.
Exactly 25 years ago, then, President Clinton was forced to declare at a press conference, “I’m relevant. The Constitution gives me relevance.” Both houses of U.S. Congress had favored the Republican Party and the GOP was rolling out its legislative plans. The next morning, the Oklahoma City Federal Building exploded. The Pundits of this time era went ahead to write that it was a government shutdown later in the year which allowed Clinton to trump the Republicans.
President of the United States, who can look out for me and my family, who can economically provide for the United States Of America? These are the questions that you ask yourself when you are voting for your president of the United States. Currently there is a number ten members running for presidency. The number of members running for the Republican Party is seven and the number running for Democratic Party is three. Out of these ten accomplished men and women the one who is the best fit for candidacy is Carly Fiorina.
I must admit I found both articles quite intriguing and captivating. I must however, agree if Hillary Clinton were elected president there would there would definitely be more drawbacks than advantages. When I first found out Hillary Clinton was running for president I was thrilled the thought of the first female commander of the United States paving the way for other women. I said to myself why wouldn’t women vote for her, this is our chance to break free from those barriers that have been set against us. However, after learning more about Mrs. Clinton I realized she is certainly a flawed white woman and perhaps is not the best or the right person for this position.
But, she has one flaw that is deep and one that she can’t shake. That flaw is trust, Democrat voters don’t trust her, they see her as someone who is dishonest and apart of the political establishment. Hillary Clinton believes that she has everything going for her, the support of the Democratic National Committee and the perceived support of the Democrat voting block, women, minorities and the unions.
Typically, political campaigns have an edge, and one candidate created an image of their opponent to present to their voters in an attempt to convince the public that they were better than their opponent, but Hillary Clinton took it too far. She became more involved in the aspect of defense rather than playing offense to attract voters. She wanted to make Trump look bad, but also wanted to distract the country from her own immoral decisions. Clinton ignored the fact that she committed a federal crime throughout the presidential race. Politics throughout the country have increased in corruption; in the recent campaign Hillary Clinton showed her lack of morals and her corrupt nature by lying to her voters and cheating the legal system while also trying to use sabotage to her advantage.
Clinton the 69-year-old from Edgewater, Chicago attended Yale law school, and Wellesley college. Hillary is no stranger to the political world, being the secretary of state when Obama served as president, this symbolizes that she's not afraid to step up to the plate and take matters into her own hands. Hillary should win presidency because of her views on education, immigration, and the environment. First, education, Hillary Clinton proposes to make college affordable for example, within the start of her presidency she hopes that every student living with a family making $85,000 a year will be eligible to go to a in-state college or university without paying tuition. Finally, her views on education revolves not only around teenagers but also kids.
Last Monday, September 26th, 2016, marked the first presidential debate between Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton and Republican nominee Donald Trump. Both parties had much to say about the other, but the national consensus was that Hillary Clinton was the victor. According to an article by Philip Bump (Washington Post), the post debate poll is suggesting Hillary Clinton is in the lead for the popular vote. Bump elaborates on how the national poll is not what matters though: state electors do. As we get closer to November 8th, the recurring question is, “ what does Hillary Clinton have to do to put this election away.”
Hillary Clinton’s main purpose is to explain everyone how women’s rights are human rights. This is stated clearly as main claim and a conclusion in her speech. “If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, let it be that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights once and for all” (Clinton). She supports her main claim through inductive logic by giving examples of what women are suffering from. Clinton mentions about how the society is violating women’s right by stating how women are being set on fire, raped, abused, which is against the human rights.
There should be no more toleration from liars and naive presidents in the office. We must turn our heads to the uncredited runner! Hillary Clinton has ran once for office, and we were smart enough to elect a different candidate. This time we should do the same, instead of falling into her lies. We cannot let her push aside the email scandals.
