In 1938 two German scientists discovered how to split a uranium atom, which led to the creation of the atomic bomb. The U.S. used an international team of scientists, many of whom were Germans who had left their country because of the Nazis, to turn this discovery into a bomb. This was known as the Manhattan Project. They created three bombs and the first was tested successfully on July 16, 1945 in the New Mexico desert.
And the most important item to create the bomb is uranium which can be found in the Belgian Congo Einstein stated. With this information, the United States could start making its own atomic bombs. During World War II, the United States discovered that the energy of the atom could be used in a new form of bomb. Only a few weeks later, the United States set off two bombs over Japan within the span of 3 days.

Robert Oppenheimer, also known as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb”, an American physicist who directed the Manhattan Project. It was a United States government program to build the first atomic bomb during World War II.
It was created in the Los Alamos laboratory by J. Robert Oppenheimer. The atomic bomb is terrifyingly accessed in India, Pakistan, Israel, North Korea, France, China, Russia, and Great Britain. The atomic bomb is a disgrace to the inventions of the world and should have never been created because it has brought fear and hatred into our country. In December of 1942, Fermi ascertained a breakthrough which produced the first nuclear chain reaction. After that, tremendous amounts of resources were dedicated to the creation of an atomic bomb. The project would come to include 120,000 Americans and $2 billion. Although the project included tens of thousands of Americans, only a select few were informed of the true purpose. In fact, the Vice-President of the United States, Harry S. Truman, did not know about the bomb development until he became the President in 1945.

However, by the time it was tested Germany had already surrendered. This left the United States with a powerful weapon that could bring catastrophe to any nation, which later was decided to be Japan.

On August 6, 1945 the US B-29 bomber named Enola Gay dropped the bomb code named “Little Boy” over Hiroshima, Japan.
