Joseph was the second youngest son of Jacob. He was his father's favorite which made his twelve brothers jealous and angry. Joseph went to check on his brother and they didn't like him, so they threw joseph in a tunnel. They wanted to kill him but one of the brothers decided to sell him to the Ishmaelites. So, he was a slave when he was 17. He was liked by Potifar so he in charge of his house. Until he got into trouble when absolutely did not do nothing. So, he was sent to jail and when Joseph told people about their dreams Pharaoh need help to have someone discover what his dream meant. The next story begins with conflict between Joseph and his brothers because he was their father's favorite.They were jealous and hated him because he always bragged about his dreams. They considered killing him but one of the other brothers decided to sell him as a slave. He was a responsible and good slave to Potiphar an Egyptian official and he was placed in charge of the house. As it says in the bible, “ Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.’’ Potiphar’s wife wanted Joseph to be with her but he ran away from her. She lies about Joseph and he is thrown in jail. Even though it was God was with Joseph and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
