History Of Rockets- The very first working rocket was made in China in 1100 A.D. It was mostly used for weapons and fireworks at that time. It wasn’t until the 1900’s that Professional rocket engineering took off. The first time they actually started using rockets as weapons was in World War 2 when Germany launched V-2 rockets at allied forces of the u.s. Much later in 1969 the U.S was the first place to land a manned rocket on the moon. As it starts to lift the tower holding i up drops down and the rockets starts going up. As it is going up it can be going up wars of 4.9 miles per second. 20 times faster than the speed of sound so it common for it to break the sound barrier pretty fast. After they have liftoff it's pretty much just a bumpy ride out of the atmosphere. Once the main thrusters run out they fall off into space. Then little baby thurters come on the keep pushing it were it needs to go. For landing the thrusters on the side light up and push up enough to slow the landing so it is softer. Then you do what you have to do. Then to get back there is more thrusters that push you back into the atmosphere which you will need so much speed to do the front of the rocket will usually catch on fire when you do. Then parachutes deploy and you land softly on the
