HISTORY OF ROCKETS
The rocket was first invented by Robert Hutching Gollard. He was an American rocketry pioneer. He invented his first liquid fueled rocket, March 16, 1926. He is considered the father of the modern rocket propulsion. By 1926, Gollard had made and successfully tested a rocket.
Some of the earliest cultures to use rockets were the Chinese, greek, europeans, mongols, and even the english. These cultures used rockets for war, fireworks, and celebrations. The Chinese used rockets in the first century A.D for war. It changed the looks of war forever.

The U.S.A is planning to go to Mars around 2020. We have also used rockets to see what Earth looks like and what other planets look like. Rockets have been getting bigger and better. They can see, do, and even go to places we can't.
USES FOR ROCKETS TODAY We use rockets for going into space, new ways of travel, and new weapons. We have gone to the moon and we are also going to mars. We have created not just rockets that fly but rocket cars for high speeds on Earth. For example the Bloodhound SSC can reach speeds up to 1,000 miles per hour. Some military uses for rockets are weapons, knowledge, and knew ways of seeing things. The military can have rockets that send out satellites so the can know where the enemy is. We can also use rockets for our country's protection.They can test rockets and use those rockets as a potential threat against an attack from other countries.
Scientists might use rockets for satellite imagery or see earth from above and even see more in space. They can launch a rocket at planets or objects to see more about it and what it's made of. Using rockets we can determine how the universe was made and more about how it works.
