Thomas Alva Edison is one of the greatest inventor who ever lived. He was also a business man whose inventions changed the modern world. Edison counted as one of the most productive inventors in history having 1093 U.S patents in his name. Edison also having patents in the united kingdom, France and Germany. Some of his inventions were improvement on the other inventions, like telephone. On the other hand some of his inventions he purposefully tried to invent, like the light bulb and movie projector. However, some inventions he stumbled upon, like phonograph. Edison invented and improved upon things that really changed our world.

There he created his favourite invention, one considered to be his most original, the ' Phonograph'. This machine recorded sounds and then replayed them. This device works when an individual speaks into the receiver piece, the voice creates the sound vibration that develops indentations on drum by the help of needle. Edison was inspired by Muybridge’s analysis of motion. This provoked him to work on motion pictures in 1888-89.
