This concept is demonstrated effectively while giving us insight into why the respective authors view the information the way they do. The most influencing of the two I felt was “Developing Responsible and Autonomous Learners: A Key to Motivating Students” I was most inspired by the story about a school observation the author participated in. It was interesting to see her take on differing teaching styles. I found the last teachers concept of class structure to be of great interest.
In this paper I am going to explain and describe the three perspectives described in this prompt. Perspective one “ Individuals could not possibly hope to solve problems as large as the ones we face today. Only large governments with sizable resources can help.” This is basically saying that the individuals can not solve any of the problems we have today but that only the government is able to fix these. The person that has this perspective thinks that the people and their communities can not do anything to help poverty along with all of the other issues.
People learn in many different ways. As we mature, we learn to use different learning styles. Adolescents, on the other hand, are just figuring out what style of learning best speaks to them. Teachers must be aware of this and find a way to teach that speaks to multiple students on multiple levels instead of using a “one style fits all” approach. This paper will cover different learning styles and the implications this can have on how educators teach their students.
Again, Tyne has another agenda to her article that the LSSU article lacks. Tyne is using the statistics to prove her point that traditional teaching methods are ineffective. Each teacher should be able to teach effectively to each student in and efficient manner, but they also must be able to understand everyone. Three key ideas that were presented by the guest speaker (Marcus Whitney) were the three modes of leadership, with the first mode of leadership being the ability to listen (M. Whitney, personal communication, 2017). Leadership must master a certain level of listening skills in order to be an effective and efficient leader within their organization. The ability to listen to employees can improve morale among coworkers, upgrade working conditions, and reduce employee turnover. Listening skills are a vital tool when building a relationship with the organizations customer base. Listen to what their needs and wants are and strive to meet them.

I believe students need to be assessed frequently and routinely. The students need accurate and effective feedback, so they can make any necessary adjustments.
