Three Central Ideas

The three central ideas about learning and teaching that stood out to me were the idea that students start with pre- existing knowledge, that teachers must work with student's pre-existing knowledge, and that the teacher must focus on why content is important and what mastery of content looks like. The reason the first two stood out to me is because many teachers, especially in my career as a student, use a single method to teach several students. As discussed in class, all students have some form of knowledge about the world the come from. That being said, each student has a unique outlook and interpretation. When students go to a class and are given assessments where only a few can relate to, it hinders the process of learning. The reason
