Tim Horton was born in Cochrane, Ontario on January 12, 1930. He was signed by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1949 and performed as one of the steadiest defencemen on the blueline throughout his 22 years in the National Hockey League. He played in 1,446 regular season games, scoring 115 goals and 403 assists for a total of 518 points. He played 17 full seasons and 3 partial seasons for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Many people think that all famous people are from big places, but little do they know they can come from little states like Arkansas. Also they have a lot of locations in the United States. The differences between of them are, the Starbucks is more expensive than Tim Hortons and Starbucks is a huge company.

Although the company is known as Canadian I was interested to find out that the franchise is much more globalized than most Canadians perceive it as. Also, the company shares its ownership with a lot of Brazilian investment companies. Moreover, the coffee products that I purchase from Tim Hortons comes from the different south and central American countries rather than a Canadian coffee it is marketed

Whereas, Starbucks has the biggest strength of its brand name value in the world coffee industry.
Tim Hortons is an iconic international brand that entices guests for the sheer opportunity to experience the brand. However locally it is more than that, it is a sense of community and Tim Hortons contribution to it. Tim Hortons is very active in the community as it sponsors youth sports and event and runs charitable foundations and campaigns, all providing a visible presence. These initiatives are what bring guests back, as the community witnesses the support Tim Hortons provides which in turn entice people to support the local Tim Hortons. I also believe that the high level of customer service quality provided to guests helps draw them back.
I chose to do my research and observation at Starbucks. I 've always been a fan of coffee and have come to enjoy coffee from Starbucks. For many years, I perceived this place as a spot for people who liked buying expensive yet not that good coffee. I thought I would be observing just a place where people meet up and study, but I didn 't really think I would be going into so much depth. However, mainly I chose this place because I thought there was a lot of potential for good research and I 'm very happy in what I found.
