Most Hollywood movies are made with a lot of time and thinking. The movie what love got to do with it, is a movie that was very well made and was taken a good amount of time to be made. The movie is about a famous soul singer named Tina Turner who discovered her talent in a small church at her hometown. The movie was able to show her struggles and how she pursues the chance of finding a career in the music industry. Art gives us a message of the artists through itself. This movie is no exception to that, this was a message made from Tina Turner and the director which both are not here anymore.
Each scene is made with precision; they spend millions of dollars so they need to make sure their message in clear. The first scene was in a small church in the south. Her father was a person who drank too much and only cared about himself. He even abused her mother when he was drunk. It also showed the house that she came from. It showed that she came from a rough place which brought many trivial issues that caused her so much pain. The director was smart into picking the right house to demonstrate all of the abuse and poverty she went through when she was young.
After she got older she left the country side and went to the city. He ended up with her mother and sister. The city started a new beginning for her. This is when met someone who she cared about and admire. She met him when she went to a bar with her sister. Her sister was at working in the bar as a bartender.
