With UOIT being in the Greater Toronto Area, it is no surprise that around 7000 of its over 9000 enrollments are from the greater Toronto area. Since being founded in 2002, UOIT has had an increase in enrollment yearly making it the fastest growing and one of the newest Universities in Ontario [1]. UOIT’s strategic plan [2] is based and planned around 3 key points. 1. Prepare our graduates for the evolving 21st-century workplace. 2. Build strength and capacity through research, innovation and partnership. 3. Be distinguished as a healthy 21st-century workplace. UOIT strategic plan is to prepare their graduates for the work place, because of this mindset UOIT should expand their experimental learning program for all fields of study. Among students "Will I find a job in my field?" has become a growing concern they have about post-secondary education. According to a survey by Durham College in 2014 [3] recorded that only 53 percent of graduates started working in their studies related field. In addition, UOIT would move toward virtual classrooms and interactive online courses. Experience is a major factor that employers look for when hiring graduates out of school.
