Underage drinking is an issue that needs intervention across the country for teenagers. It’s concerning since they are young individuals full of life and purpose. Their life may be on the line where it can lead to accidents dealing with their physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being. It goes onto the question of what can we do to address this problem? There are many solutions regarding this issue, but one prevention would be providing access to support services. The solution is effective because it gives teens a chance to see other perspectives on their usage of alcohol. It will reduce the normalization of underage drinking, where their attitude and behavior can change towards it. Awareness of the responsible drinking will show the expectations of how they are seeing the risks and shifting the perceptions of how alcohol works. For instance, “Alcohol does not need to be a taboo substance that is strictly prohibited forever, but rather something that can be enjoyed responsibly by adults” (AAC 2022). Support services offer the idea of promoting responsible drinking to show it’s not a bad thing, but as a child it will create issues for you as you turn into an adult. The idea of respecting the legal age limits shows that underage is illegal. Therefore, the access to these support services shows how they are able to see the risks of alcohol and know where adults can show the negatives and positives towards drinking. In the end, responsible drinking will promote the social culture of legal drinking rather than doing it at a young age. By considering these factors, support services can effectively address underage drinking and help young people lead healthier, alcohol-free
