1. Why do you want to be an Orientation Counselor? What leadership qualities and characteristics do you possess that will best serve new students?

What better way to welcome our newest Villanova Wildcats home than by inspiring them with Villanova stories and offering support with the spirit of Orientation? I am excited to help a group of new students find their way at Villanova and to encourage them to be open and trusting of what incredible experiences are to come by providing myself as a resource and mentor. I understand that transitioning to college is difficult and challenging for many, however, I hope to rely upon my consistent positive attitude to help new students look through a fresh lens focused on the excitement of all Villanova has to offer socially, academically, and spiritually. I have a unique ability to make those around me feel comfortable and welcomed because I value self-worth. She inspired me to step outside my comfort zone and expand my social circle. Claire checked in on me, and the rest of my group, throughout the year and generously offered support or advice as by being readily available and organizing Group 18 reunions. Claire embodies a lifelong orientation counselor because the fact that she has graduated has minimally affected our relationship. Applying to be an Orientation Counselor means applying to be a loyal mentor and available resource for each of the new students for as long as they may need you and reminding them that you are there for them.
