When going grocery shopping, it’s hard, at times, to decide which store to go to. After evaluating different stores in my neighborhood, I found that Walmart and Kroger rank highest in the areas of convenience, lowest prices, the quality of their meat and produce, and the overall store shopping experience. I like Walmart because, it’s only a few blocks away, and is convenient, especially when I need just a few things like milk, and bread. However, the store is bigger and more crowded than Kroger, and their prices overall are higher than Kroger’s. I believe Kroger has better quality meat, and the fruits and vegetables seem superior. Even though Kroger is a little farther away it is defiantly worth the drive. I shop at Walmart more often than Kroger, only because it is right down the street. I like to do my large weekly shopping trips at Kroger. The bulk of my grocery shopping is usually done there. Even though the prices are not very different than Walmart, not only are Kroger store brands full of flavor they are real money savers. The store is smaller allowing me to spend less time shopping, and is usually less crowded. They seem to be more concerned with store cleanliness and customer service than Walmart. The checkout lines are always shorter, and they call extra checkers to the front, if the lines get too long. I also find the employees to be more helpful and friendly and they are always ready and willing to help take and load your purchases into your car. I love the meat, it seems to be of the best quality and is always cut fresh in their meat market daily. I have rarely been disappointed in their produce, which is always fresh and of good quality. I also like the fact that they offer circulars advertising their weekly sales, and I am able to plan my trip to take advantage of their sale
