Detective Deirdre Enright says, “You don’t have enough to put Adnan away, not to me you don’t,” in episode seven of the Serial podcast. Sarah Koenig is the narrator of this podcast, and she delivers the evidence in an unbiased tone so that the audience can develop their own stance on the case, without being subconsciously swayed by her opinion. The case focuses on the trial of Adnan Syed, and debates whether or not he killed Hae Min Lee on January 13th, 1999. After weighing in all the facts, rumors, and theories, the only logical answer is that Adnan is, without a doubt, innocent of murdering Hae Lee. Pretty much the only thing the prosecution has to go off of is the cell phone records of that day.
Adnan Syed is not guilty of killing Hae Min Lee. On January 13th. The biggest evidence used against Adnan was the cell tower records that matched. However, with that, a big chuck is missing when overlooking the trial at the payphone call around 2:37. The cell tower records and the payphone at best.
Undisclosed and Serial, two podcasts, have made Adnan Syed’s case a public phenomenon. This case originated on January 13th, 1999. Hae Min Lee, a senior at Woodlawn High School, was found murdered and buried in Leakin Park about a month later. Adnan and Hae dated and had broken up shortly before the incident took place. This makes Adnan a main suspect in the investigation of her disappearance and murder.
In fact, I think it only further corroborates my theory that Jay killed Hae on his own and then pointed to Adnan. Because if you were in possession of your friend’s car and your friend’s phone, how would you make it look like your friend was with you? By calling someone in your friend’s phonebook whom you did not know. During the trial, the lawyers question Nisha about a time in which Adnan called her and then put Jay—at Jay’s insistence—on the phone to say hello. While Nisha confirms that such a call did happen, she is adamant that it was made from the adult video store where Jay worked.
Therefore, Adnan Syed did not murder Hae Min Lee. The first element about Adnan’s case that proves that Adnan is innocent is that Leakin Park is an hour away from where Adnan lives so why would he get out of his way to murder someone and then dispose of the body an hour away. In the investigation on the case, Sarah Koenig was talking to Rabia Chaudry, friend of Adnan, and this comment proves that Adnan wouldn’t be able to murder Hae: “is Adnan suppose to get to Leakin Park so fast? It’s like an hour into the city.
Another argument for why Adnan Syed is guilty is from Jay’s testimony where he mentions Adnan killing Hae in Hae’s car. Adnan Syed is guilty of killing Hae min lee because of the cell phone records pinpointed near the burial site where Hae’s body was discovered. When Sarah says “So. According to Adnan, he was with the phone and twice that night. The phone pinged near Lincoln Park.
Asia McClain is a vital individual in this case, proving Adnan’s innocence and whereabouts, being a witness for Adnan. She was the key to Adnan’s innocence, unlocking the door, and letting out the false claims and perceptions people had of Adnan, but instead, something fishy happened, something that would question the credibility of Cristina Gutierrez. Asia declares that at the time of the murder, she talked to Adnan for about 10–15 minutes, during the time the state referred to as the time Adnan strangled and killed Hae. Hae was supposedly dead at 2:36, but Adnan was engaging in a conversation with Asia leading up to 2:40. It is impossible for Adnan to kill Hae during this time period, as he had an alibi during the time of the murder, resulting in inefficiencies and lies in Jay’s story.
Serial is a podcast hosted by Sarah Koenig about the mysterious murder of Hae Min Lee and the convinction of Adnan Syed in the year 1999. When Koenig looked over the case in 2014 she decided to investigate into the case on her own. Despite everything that happened to Syed pertaining his arrest many people including his family think he is innocent. I think an expert should have gone over all the details when it came to this case getting down to the bottom of who her killer is. On Januray 13, 1999 eighteen year-old Hae Min Lee disappeared after school in Baltimore, Maryland.
At the age of 17, Adnan Syed was charged for the murder of Hae Min Lee, but I don’t believe he did it, and I want to tell you why I think it was Jay who committed the murder. In this case there are days worth of reading for evidence. Just in the transcripts, there’s 288 pages, some of it evidence, some of it conversations, and some of it interviews. There are so many people involved that it's very difficult to say for certain that Adnan did it, but it's also very difficult to point out anyone else that could have done it as well.
The ex boyfriend who’s name was Adnan Syed was accused of killing his girlfriend but claims that he is innocent and he’s trying to make himself not seem guilty. Adnan Syed is the murder of killing Hae Lee who is his ex girlfriend. Hae lee went missing on January 13, 1999. Four weeks later her body as found in Linkin Park. The case was towards Adnan Syed, who was convicted and sent to jail for life for the murder.
Adnan Syed, Hae’s ex-boyfriend, was convicted of the murder and was sentenced to life in prison. Throughout the Serial Podcast, we are shown many different points of view of whether or not Adnan Syed was guilty or innocent. I believe that Adan Syed is guilty of murdering Hae Minn Lee because he doesn’t recall or remember much of what happened the day she went missing, and his location of where he was that day and what he was doing
Adnan’s friend Asia sent him a letter while he was in prison saying that she saw him on the 13th of January during the 21 Minutes that were stated to have been the time that he had killed Hae Min Lee. She states that she saw him in the library near the school. She states that she was talking to Adnan and her boyfriend came up to them and started arguing with her thinking that Adnan was hitting on her. After Adnan leaves she states that the time was after 21 minutes that the state put the time of the murder at. This means that Adnan could not have killed Hae in the time that was stated that he killed her.
A motive. Adnan was convicted of Hae’s murder without a sound motive. The state said, as discussed in the podcast, that Adnan’s motive was based on him being upset about their breakup
Although Stephanie McPherson and Jay Wilds had different motives for killing Hae Min Lee, they succeed to falsely incriminate Adnan Syed in spite of all the evidence that clears the defendant of this crime. Adnan’s best friend Stephanie McPherson and her boyfriend Jay Wilds both have as much of a motive to murder Hae Min Lee as Adnan Syed does.
This proves that Adnan was the one who killed her. Jay and Adnan both committed a serious crime. Adnan killed Hae with the help from
