The Nobel Prize is one of the world’s most prestigious and hardest to earn awards. For example, the Nobel Prize in Literature is awarded to "the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction" (Facts on the Nobel Prize in Literature). In some cases, people argue whether or not someone deserves the award that he or she has received. One such case is Bob Dylan. He was born as Robert Zimmerman on May 24, 1941. He began his career by performing in coffeehouses under the alias of Bob Dylan, eventually signing his first recording contract in 1961. Since then, he has written 653 songs and pioneered several genres of music. In addition to this, he has also received a plethora of awards for his works. The most recent being the reputed Nobel Prize in Literature, which he has been awarded "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition" (Bob Dylan - Facts). The lines “The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind, The answer is blowin' in the wind” (lines 7-8) conclude every paragraph of the song.
