Mr. Carey: A Logical Candidate for the Jefferson Award. So that kids can have a good childhood if they have a good leader in their life. They are awards that are given to people who have done a really good thing. An individual worth noticing is Mr. Carey. He is my basketball coach who started coaching basketball 2 years ago. Others might say that a teacher deserves the Jefferson Award, but I say that coaches deserve the Jefferson Award because Mr. Carey knows how to speak with more clarity than teachers do.
