Youth need people like teachers because they can help people learn, and they can help people understand the importance of certain things. The Jefferson Award is given to people that put others before themselves, and continually do acts of kindness. These awards are given to honor those people. Levi Busse is a middle school math teacher at Amery School District. He has been working for 8 years. Levi Busse deserves the Jefferson Award because his teaching style helps people focus, and he knows how to keep the class engaged. One example of a time, is when I was in math, and he was teaching, he was randomly calling on people to keep them engaged. He often does this, and it is a great example of his teaching style because he keeps the entire class engaged. This demonstrates how effective his teaching style is because he often does this, and it’s not a one-time thing. Because he does this often, it’s a teaching style that shows how he keeps people engaged. Furthermore, Mylie Holte, a student in his math class and study hall, said “He keeps people engaged, and keeps people focused by having people answer questions.” This suggests that Mr. Busse’s teaching style is good for keeping students engaged and focused.
