What does good teaching look like?
I believe good teaching can be seen through the students. What one can see from the students can give us information about the teaching that takes place in the classroom than the actions from the teacher itself. For example, the students should have a clear and set focused learning goal, all students should be participating in a way or another, students should always be on task depending on the assignment and think carefully showing signs that they are engaged, one should get a positive vibe from the classroom as a whole, and for the whole time to be used wisely and for learning purposes.
Explain how you use, plan, and apply the knowledge from the coursework to expand your knowledge of how students learn.

I currently work here in UTRGV as an orientation leader, and my job consists of interacting with students most of the time. When I usually do interact with them, it is either by tours or by orientation itself. I teach and inform them of the school, the buildings, and the services the school has to provide them. When giving presentations, I always keep in mind to always have the students participate in a way or another and to always have them engage into what I’m informing them since it is very important. I always try to do an icebreaker, do a fun activity, and/or have them interact among their peers since getting to know new people when entering college is very important and useful.
