As a young adult, I can say that Christmas gift giving is likewise to language. Similar to how I grasped the language of English and developed it as I got older, gift giving has also grown with me throughout my childhood up till now. Both have evolved into society and culture. Christmas has transformed into a "cultural ritual" celebrated year after year all because of social norms. The idea that society celebrates Christmas and gift giving without having to be forced represents how culture regulates societal behavior.

Well that is how it is in the Grinch we had to watch the movie about the Grinch to find out if the Grinch was guilty or not guilty. He was very nice because he saved sindy life because she was about to fall down the hill and he lifted the slay before it fell. The Grinch is not guilty of the charges brought against him nor does he have poor character.
Have you ever read Cinderella? It’s a beautiful story in which a prince falls in love with the underdog. However, behind all of the romance and glass slippers, there is a valuable life lesson; remain kind when surrounded by bad behavior, and you will be rewarded. Stories like these, such as red riding hood, Rapunzel, and the 3 little pigs etc. made it so that children could learn simple values while being engulfed with the beauty and glamour of the fairytale. Throughout the stories, human nature was camouflaged in characters so subtly that the children were never aware of the capabilities of mankind.
So, now you know why my grandfather inspires me. It’s because even with everything he has faced, the life he has, all the good and the bad, he has been positive. Now, I could end this story telling you ‘those are the reasons why my grandfather inspires me’. But i’m not going to do that.

Every child has someone that they idolize and cherish. Whether it be a relative or just a friendly adult, these childhood heroes can shape a person’s sense of identity. An excellent portrayal of this concept can be found in Truman Capote’s fictional short story, “A Christmas Memory.” In this short story, “Buddy,” the main character, has his sense of identity shaped by his childhood hero, which is his cousin whom he spends most of his time with. Buddy’s childhood hero shaped his sense of identity through the annual tradition and spending time together with her.
For instance one reason that the movie Christmas Carol displays actions and consequences is scrooge was mean to others and they were mean to him back. Scrooge wouldn't care about anyone and others wouldn’t Care about him which left each other angry against each other. The goal is to make the kids have more faith and perhaps a more joyful Christmas. And what would be a family tradition without any inconsistencies? There are of course many times were the baby Jesus is never found or adults are lazy and just hand out the money without hiding the baby Jesus at all. This is pretty amusing because by doing this, adults are just teaching kids how to be greedy. Another unfortunate situation would be that the competition is too abrasive and the chance of finding the baby Jesus is almost null.
Let’s examine Santa Claus, a jolly old man who brings presents to nice children all around the world at Christmas. He’s also known as Saint Nicholas, but the modern Santa Claus grew out of his Saint Nicholas shell by absorbing different cultures’ figure. Santa delivers gifts such as toys and candy to nice children while he gives coal to naughty ones. This is clearly meant to motivate children to behave well.

I learned that if you want people to like you you have to be nice and kind to them, or else they’ll be rude to you too or talk bad behind your back. In the book it talks about how people acted when Mr. Scrooge was around. How they were scared of him because he was always so cold and never smiled.
Some people really appreciate the person who did this for them because they are unable to pay their bill but want a nice Christmas for their family.
