Sustainability is a necessary element for a company to excel and strive. Sustainability refers to the ability of environment, economic and social attributes to be maintained at a certain rate. Celestica is a sustainable Canadian company, it is environmentally friendly with great social views yet, it still makes an exceptionally amount of revenue.

First, Celestica is sustainable in the environment because of the company’s policies and how resources there are used. The policy, in summary, refers to how the company will respect the environment where employees operate and how the company will assist in developing technology to solve environmental projects. In addition, the company is also registered to ISO14001 on 74 per cent of the organization’s manufacturing sites, this ensures that the sites have an effective environmental management system. When employing new workers candidates are all treated with fairness and respect, the company tries to keep the male and female ratio of new hires relatively equal, Celestica also tries to have a diverse mix of ethnicities. For the employees to reach full potential, the company provides a range of learning and development programs focused on skills, knowledge, capability and experience sharing. The company also cares about the employees’ health, hires get benefits such as life insurance, healthcare, disability and invalidity coverage, parental leave and, retiree benefits. On top of these benefits, Celestica believes that employees should not be overworked, so work hours do exceed 60 hours weekly. The company is also committed to keeping a safe and healthy environment for employees, this is done by having each site measure and report on its EHS performance
