Lucy Dunn’s background in the communication field involved translating between common context and corporate jargon. She first mentioned this function of communication when she was recalling her experience in real estate development. Dunn’s job, though it was not explicit in the job description she pointed out, was to meet with real estate investors and translate their visions and needs to the corporate world. She discussed how there would be multiple meetings where she would have to translate both ways in order to finalize a deal.
