Throughout history, a military stands vital to protect a country in the event of an invasion. With the newly created Atomic Bomb, destruction and warfare enters a whole new light. The Atomic Bomb creates an unbalanced power, allowing one country to strike the other country with greater force than ever seen before. Albert Einstein and Dwight D. Eisenhower, the geniuses of their time, adopt varying views on the state of military in peacetime. Dwight D. Eisenhower states that military needs to stay always present so power stays balanced. In the problem of the country’s safety, Einstein adopted the view in the country’s best interests. Military becomes un-needed once all simply give up their weapons, and learn to live cooperatively. Albert Einstein states that this unbalance of power creates fear and “bully” countries. Although Eisenhower’s claim that military superiority stands essential for safety contains validity, if weaponry continues to advance at the current rate, there will be drastic repercussions. One of the most evident costs of military advancement resides as funds simply running out. If a country no longer contains enough money to run the military programs, then it allows a major unbalanced power. This means that if all of the countries came together to cooperate, conflict stands easily avoided. A “Worldwide Cooperation” allows countries to really talk it out and help each other to reach a goal. This would keep each country in its respective place, and avoid major war. This plan prevent the need for a military in the first place, and it creates a balance in power. If one country decides to split and attempt to take over another country, the whole rest of the world has the little bullied country’s back.
