How a character acts and what their personality is can describe their character trait. Sometimes characters are different in their traits, oftenly characters can be the same by changing or revising their own character trait. The protagonist is Doug from Okay for Now, by Gary Schmidt. Doug is a teenage boy that is struggling with a rough family. Doug 's father got a new job that was far away from his own town so, Doug has to adapt to the town that he moved to.
My character is Doodle from “The Scarlet Ibis.” I feel as if he has these three traits within him. They are Crazy, Motivated, and Trusting. I say he is crazy because in the very start of the story Big Brother says “Doodle was just about the craziest brother a boy ever had.”
Drew is a Mexican teenager who is an only child who faced many problems. His father and mother have a rough relationship that he is stuck in the middle of and he faces problems at school also. Drew has memories of his father beating his mother in front of him. He doesn’t know what to do and is scared for his families wellbeing. He has a friend named Sam that he spends a lot of his time with.
As the story begins, Louie is a young boy who is constantly in trouble in his town, stealing money, food, smoking, drinking and getting into fights. “Thrilled by the crashing of boundaries, Louie was untamable” (Hillenbrand 7). His brother, Pete sees a talent in him that even Louie does not see.
A Separate Peace The novel “A Separate Peace” by John Knowles has a vast array of characters ranging from unimportant to crucial. The story paints two best friends as the main characters, Finny and Gene. Gene is more intellectually skilled while Finny is more physically skilled. Some of the “minor characters” play a role almost as important as the main characters. For example Quackenbush, Brinker, and Elwin they all are minor characters and nevertheless play a very important role in the story.
Differences between people have been around since the begin of mankind, they have started great disasters such as every war ever started, deaths, and sometimes disappears. In the nonfiction passage Confetti Girl, by Diana Lopez, and the nonfiction text from Tortilla Sun, by Jennifer Cervantes, both the narrator's point of views differ from those of their parents, therefore creating conflict between each other. In Confetti Girl, the narrator is the little girl that feels her father is ignoring her because he cares too much about literature. In Tortilla Sun the other little girl feels her mother cares only about getting her degree and is not concerned about the needs of the girl. In Diana’s story the tension is created when the girl is not treated the way she was used to, and when her father is not listening to her conversation, in Jennifer’s story tension rises when things don't go the right way, and when bad news is given.
The roles of the character can range from the most important to the least important person and at times in the story can interchange. Our first character to discuss would be Rosalina Lunia. I would describe Rosalina as one of the most important characters or an extraordinary character. Rosalina takes on traits of an animal while trying to fulfill her dream of exploring the world. Rosalina never questions her behavior
Paige is a popular teenager who is dating the star football player named Jake. In the beginning of the story, she is a mean “princess” who doesn’t pay attention to the kids in other social groups, but as the story progresses, she shows her fun personality. The crash causes her boyfriend and best friend to change the way they treat her so her relationships with them change drastically. She is the main character and is also the narrator. Jake is Paige’s boyfriend who is a football player and is also alcoholic.
The supporting characters are Jordans friends from Washington Heights, and the new friends that he makes at his new school. I believe that the antagonist would be those who make fun of Jordan. If I were to pick a main antagonist, I would choose Andy. This is because Andy mainly picks on Jordan and bullies him one on one. Jordan just wants to be able to fit in at his new school and to stay connected and not become distant from his old friends.

The Third storyline is about an American teenager who is attending High School and is an average student at school. He tends to be fairly popular and considers himself to be a normal kid; however, once a year his cousin Chin Kee comes to visit him and always makes him extremely unpopular with the other students or makes him appear as a weirdo to his classmates. Because of this, Danny feels he has to get rid of what his cousin does in front of his peers, so in order to start over at a new school he has to move. Yet this year he decides to stand up and confront his cousin while further trying to reconcile his identity among his peers. Danny enters the school library, where Chin Kee is making an embarrassing scene, singing Danny tells Chin Kee to go away but chin Kee won 't go.
Main character sammy is a witty, rude, immature boy who is driven by sexual characteristics of women. His masculinity is hindered when the three girls are kicked out and must feel like “their unsuspected hero” to them by quitting his job. Unfortunately, the girls don't stop. “Queenie” (5), is characterized as striking and confident. She's bold and the herring snacks implies she is rich.
