and I want you on your best behavior or we won’t be able to do things like this.” 5. Observe and assess students as they work with their partners. 6. Listen to what the students are saying about shapes and items in the room.
I’m gonna talk about the book “Night” that we have read in class during the second term. The story has for setting the time period of the WWII, in Europe. The story is about Elie, a jew and his family that are facing a lot of struggles because of their religion. Over the course of the book, Elie changes from believing in God to not believe in God. This is important to the book as a whole because it connects to the internal conflict.

My first activity was sitting in the bed board meeting. This takes place every morning with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), departments nurse managers, departments charge nurses, house supervisor, wound care nurse, Infectious Disease (ID) and social services. The purpose for this meetings is to address important information to plan the day. Some of the information that was mention was: How many patients are admitted at this time, open beds, pending discharges, foley telemetry, central lines, sitters, and inmates.
The heart wrenching story of Jeanette Walls and her askew family never fails to have an emotional impact on its readers. People have come to have mixed feelings on The Glass Castle; its real world problems tend to leave readers speechless, confused, sad, crying, or even laughing their behinds off. When I read the book I was left with all of those emotions. Overall I thought the book was amazing and really dug deep into Jeanette’s life and I anticipated the release of the movie hitting cinemas on August 11th, 2017. When I first saw the movie I was a little confused as to why so many details were left out from the plot.
Before reading “Nickel and Dimed: On (NOT) Getting by in America”, my perception of blue collar Americans is much different. I had figured that blue collared workers in lower paying jobs were not very hard working people, and that they still made enough money to have decent living conditions. Before reading Nickel and Dimed I thought that if you had a job and were not making enough to get by that you were probably a lazy person. Reading Nickel and Dimed really opened my eyes to the quality of life workers in these jobs have made me realize that you can be employed at a Walmart or as a hotel maid like Barbara Ehrenreich was and still be living in poverty. I learned pretty early into Nickel and Dimed that only having one job at this level of jobs
Nickel and Dimed, written by Barbara Ehrenreich goes in depth of workers that have minimum wage jobs and are trying to survive in the U.S economy. Ehrenreich’s goes incognito trying to work in low-end jobs. Experiencing the hardships that many Americans face, Ehrenreich learns that money is not equal to the work and grief put in. Everywhere in the novel, Ehrenreich expresses that owners of corporations keep the workers down. As quoted, “…everyone knows they have crossed over to the other side, which is, crudely put, corporate as opposed to human" (Ehrenreich, 22).
Students worked in small groups collaborate to answer questions related to catheter insertion, extraction, and maintenance. The method that was used to evaluate the students is manually grading of the post-quiz to measure the students’ cognitive ability to retain the information. No apparatus or equipment used during the data collection. Miller and Metz (2014), investigates and compared the perception of the active learning process between students who were exposed to the active learning process in the classroom and members who relied on the lecture as their primary teaching strategy. The study concludes that 89% of students who engages in the active learning process through gaming in the classroom predicted favorable results in the students’ performances and motivated to learn the
Reading Reflection #5: Play It As It Lays To conclude the reading of Joan Didion’s “Play It As It Lays” that tells a story about some episodes of a life of an actress named Maria, in English’s tongue that is pronounced Mar-eye-ah (4). There are fragments in Maria’s stories and her thoughts on so many things happen in her life. Her schizophrenic tendency and her drug abuse make her life like a juggling. The relationship with people she knows does not help her to have a hold of reality. The guilt of having abortion and a horror of people dying contribute to her nightmarish life.
I noticed that after I finished my time monitoring sheet that, there is absolutely no reason for me not to complete my studies at GCU. I’m always available because I don’t have a job or children to take care of my only responsibility are my dogs. So now that I start school my biggest priority will be to do my school work and turn it in on time. But I did notice that I waste a lot of time doing nothing but, I guess that’s good in a way because now I can replace the time slots that I’m doing nothing, with studying so I can make better grades.
Shadowing was a great opportunity for me. It provides students a general overview about a certain career such as working conditions and nature of work. On the 14th of November, I shadowed Dr. Azhar Bustami, a dentist on 10043 E Adamo Dr, Tampa, FL 33619. Dr. Azhar was very welcoming and supportive. She tried her best with explaining the advantages and disadvantages of working as a dentist.
For my educational experience, i attended a school board meeting on April 26th at the District center. This was my first school board meeting, so i wasn 't sure what to expect, but i wasn 't expecting that set up. I was expecting more parental and community involvement, those stereotypical parents who criticizes everything about the system. Instead i found myself with adults who looked like they were doing the same amount of observing as me. There was 8 board members sitting together in a closed square flip top, i didn 't particularly like this because a few members had there back faced to the guests and it felt like guests/other presenters weren 't as important or acknowledged really.
Introduction During the four-year study in the program of Accounting and Finance, I have gained the professional knowledge, and also obtained the precious experiences in life. This year, I have learned a lot during the process of the working on the capstone project. In order to have a deep understanding of myself, the essay will make a summary of the capstone project and myself.
Team Work - I 've felt like I work very well in teams, although I do also work well alone, it feels great working alongside people who can help you get a job done efficiently and easily, especially if you grow to like those people which in my past experiences has always been the case; so I 'm very used to working with teams. Maturity - I believe maturity extends far beyond what a lot of people would interpret it as. It accounts for more than just not laughing at immature jokes and being able to be professional when faced with a task. Sensitivity and empathy I think are two important traits which come along with the idea of maturity. Sensitivity, of course, accounts for how one talks to others, I 'm sure we 're all very tired of seeing staff members on other servers that are there just for the purpose of saying they got a moderator position on that server so when it comes to moderating, they 're very lethargic with their work and can be emotionless when monotonously speaking with you.
Everyone belongs to a social class. Whatever reality you been born in, is going to shape the way you believe and act. Each individual is different and unique, however, is not unknown that the experiences we had over our life shape our identity. In the movie Elysium, the Earth has been contaminated. The rich people flew away to a new land created in the space named Elysium, which left those with less money behind.
