The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, is a drama about two young lovers experiencing hindrances influenced by their family feuds. Despite the unfavorable circumstances, Romeo and Juliet make some questionable decisions to pursue a relationship. The drama highlights the dire consequences of their impulsive actions. Both Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their deaths because of their inability to make deliberate choices, poor character judgment, and impatience. Romeo’s naivete or inability to make deliberate choices was the beginning of a series of events that eventually led to tragedy. After a disagreement between Tybalt and Lord Capulet about Romeo’s intentions at the party, Tybalt out of spite vows that he will seek bitter revenge on Romeo as shown in Act 1, Scene 5 “The combination of forced patience and pure rage is making my body tremble. I’ll leave here now, but Romeo’s prank, which so seems to him now, will turn bitter to him later,” this sparked Tybalt’s desire for revenge to hurt Romeo. A fight broke out, and Tybalt killed Mercutio, who was defending Romeo after Tybalt’s insults. Romeo avenged Mercutio, his friend, by murdering Tybalt. Romeo was soon banished, causing Juliet to attempt to find ways to be with Romeo, and what she decided to do wasn’t the most prudent
