It’s a beautiful love story betrayed by tragedy. In Romeo and Juliet two teens fall in love but have to hide their affection for each other because of the Montague and Capulet feud between their parents. In the book Romeo and Juliet, Juliet Capulet is a tragic hero for three big reasons. First, she comes from a rich family. Secondly, her fall is not a pure loss. Finally, her misfortune isn’t wholly deserved. First of all, Juliet is a tragic hero because she comes from a rich family. Paris, who wants to marry fair Juliet, is talking to Juliet’s dad. [To Capulet] “But now, my lord” (I, ii, 6) Paris called Juliet’s dad “Lord” because he is rich. Lord Capulet and Lord Montague are talking about the tragic deaths of their children and Capulet says. “O brother Montague, give me thy hand. This is my daughter’s jointure, for no more can I demand.” (V, iii, 296-298) This means that he wants to end the feud and pointless fighting and countless deaths caused by the feud. The Prince is talking to Lord Capulet and Lord Montague about Romeo and Juliet’s deaths and is talking about the family feud ending and says “A glooming peace this morning with it brings; the sun, for sorrow, will not show its head.” (V, iii, 305-306) meaning that with such tragedy comes a bright side.
