As a child I always devoted myself into helping people, which is why I chose to major in Human Resource Management (HRM). A benefit of being an HRM professional is that it allows me to be of service to people. The Agency I currently work for has given me the opportunity to help people in operations. I accepted their mission of protecting the Nation's Transportation Systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce to make a positive difference in the world. I take pride in what I have accomplished during my tenure at my current agency and enjoy being part of an effective team. As a team player of Mission Support, my responsibilities are to ensure the efficient performance of all departments in the organization. I position myself as a connecting link between the Senior Management and the employees. I assist in providing motivation to the workforce, as well as, helping the workforce comprehend the goals of the organization. Working in the Administrative Department is where I am best suited because of my knowledge in customer service, scheduling appointments, maintaining and filing SSI documents, inputting information into databases and spreadsheets, payroll, processing documents, security checks, distribution of mail, local hiring, interviewing and auditing files. I am also able to utilize the HRM skills that I have obtained regarding organizational situations, problem solving, conflict management, communication and multitasking. I love my job and have gained a wealth of knowledge from this Agency which I would like to both share and acquire additional knowledge within the government. I want to protect my Homeland and its people. I want to give people a second chance in life to help make this world a better
