Intro
The purpose of my career and college paper is to educate the reader on Clarkson College and nurse practitioners. In this essay I will explain how to become a nurse practitioner and what programs to take at Clarkson College in Omaha NE. I will explain what nurse practitioners do and what you need to attend Clarkson College. I will also explain my reasoning for wanting to become a nurse practitioner.
There are many great colleges to choose from to become a nurse practitioner. I chose Clarkson College in Omaha Nebraska. It is in the top 5 of the best nursing schools in Nebraska, in fact it’s number 3 on the registerednursing.org website. My aunt also recommended this school to me because it's where she is going to become a nurse practitioner and she said it's a great school. The total cost to become a nurse practitioner at Clarkson College will be around $94,015, that doesn’t include the prices for textbooks, on campus housing and other things like that. One of the reasons I chose this college is because it is close enough to York, where I can still come down and see my family on the weekends and holidays. 3 of my aunts are nurses or work in the nursing field and one of them is becoming a nurse practitioner right now. They inspired me to become one because of how much they enjoy their work. Another reason I want to become one is I am very interested in the math and the sciences and medical field. Some of my favorite subjects in school are math and science classes and I plan on taking more math and science classes throughout the rest of my education. I also love to help people and I think that becoming a nurse practitioner will be a great career for me because I feel like it would be fun and I wouldn't think of it as a job and I would enjoy going to work and helping people
