There are many professions a person can succeed at for doing what they love. For example, Nursing, geologist, and a middle school teacher can lead a successful career. However, the profession of a veterinarian allows people who love saving animals' lives have an opportunity to make that their career.A singular person pursuing a career in being a veterinarian would want to go to University of California--davis. As a student interested in being a veterinarian i want to go to University of California--davis because their veterinarian program is #1 in universities for the veterinary field.

First, according to UC Davis's website, “We address the health of all animals, including livestock, poultry, companion animals, captive and free-ranging wildlife, exotic animals, birds, aquatic mammals and fish, and animals used in biological and medical research. Our expertise also encompasses related human health concerns. Our statewide mission includes 28 research and clinical programs, including clinical referral services; diagnostic testing services; continuing education; extension; and community outreach.” This fact proves that this is a good program because, It shows how much they care about animal health but even care about human society which is a good thing because students want to care so the school should care as well. I met vets all over the country, and I noticed that Davis vets practice great medicine, their clients love them, and I wanted to be one of those vets. One thing I really like about UC Davis is there is no ‘you’ vs ‘me’ mentality. I was worried about that coming in because it’s a very competitive field.
