On top of this BYU has an elite academic profile worth at least ten times the current cost of tuition. It’s a very competitive school and I can’t wait to be pushed to be the best student I can and fully live up to the potential I have. Furthermore, Networking at BYU is unbelievable. You can secure lifelong friends and extensive contacts for the future.
In today's society, many people do not recognize community college as a place of opportunity and growth. Liz Addison utilizes a sarcastic tone at the beginning of her essay and later a hopeful tone as well as short and long syntax to convey her belief that community college is the best place to grow and achieve anything. Addison’s use of a sarcastic tone in the first paragraph shows how she feels about college in the years before. By stating “Those days, man, when a pretentious reading list was all it took to lift a child from suburbia. When jazz riffs hung in the dorm lounge air with the smoke of a thousand bongs, and college really mattered”, Addison presents her belief that college, in earlier years, was not as prestigious as community
College always seemed to be on my life’s road map. It was never a matter of if I would go, but rather when I would go; what subject would I devote my time to studying and most importantly, which institute would I decide to attend. Regent University, so I have read, “was founded on biblical principles to make a significant difference in our world”. Their mission statement rings true by the testimony given to me by a couple of coworkers that attend Regent and only have the best reports to give. I look forward to joining the Regent family and expanding my mental and spiritual horizons.
Going to UW-Superior is something that I have wanted for a long time. I can bring many new things to the community. I have travelled a bit, I enjoy helping the community and my professional pursuits will hopefully one day better the world. Whenever you travel you learn many new ideas. Everyplace you go to is different.
“We’re going where? For how long? But why?” I said. It was the summer before seventh grade when my mom told me that we would be going a trip.
Learning with different people helped me create new ways of learning something and understanding things differently. Going to CSU will only expand my knowledge on the different types of diversities in the world. I will meet a lot more people with all different types of stories. I could use this experience to improving not only
There are countless of reasons why I have chosen to attend an HBCU. I did my research and of course there are pros and cons to attending an HBCU. The question to me was which one will out weigh the other. To begin, HBCU is an acronym. It stands for Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
To some, Utah may not be a desirable place to live or work, and other cities may provide better chances. But, the University is located in Salt Lake City, a vibrant and expanding metropolis with great restaurants, arts and culture, and outdoor recreation. As a Utah resident living in Salt Lake City, attending the University of Utah is a good decision because it offers top-notch education near home. For occupations like medicine, this helps students stay linked to their neighborhood and understand local culture and challenges. Utah natives might also benefit financially from attending school
The music program has given me the ability to meet people I otherwise wouldn't have met and to grow close enough to them that I call them my second family. The student leadership program has given me the opportunity to have a wide circle of friends and help me work with a variety of different people. You will never find a school more committed first, to Christ, and second, to you, the student.
A Home Away from Home: New Beginnings Becoming Old Dreams The University of Texas Tech was established in 1923, and today 36,551 students attend. (“U.S. News & World Report”). My acceptance to Brigham Young University and my studies there have been a wonderful experience. Being a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I struggled with knowledge regarding primarily religious matters. The opportunity to be a student at BYU is something I am indeed grateful for. I had only been a member of the church for two months when I began classes; because of this, my knowledge of the Gospel has increased dramatically. The fellowship I was given as a new member was exceptional and the opportunities that have come because of my studies at BYU is appreciated.
After I finish my AA degree at Hillsborough Community College, I plan to transfer to a four-year college where I will earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. The school I am most interested in is Florida State University. The school has a beautiful location, offers various music programs, and is home to a multitude of ensembles. I also want to attend the school because of how far it is from my home-town! After attending the University, I intend to get hired as either a high school or middle school teacher; In addition, I also plan to continue composing music, and offering private lessons.
When doing research on the school I was quick to grow fond of it and by what I have read about UNCW it is most defiantly where I trust I should be and is where I can see myself building a future and creating a life. The wide range of academics the school offers and the endless opportunities I will have are astounding. I have always been a person interested in travel and I have always liked an adventure and UNCW offers great international programs that can allow me to do that. I know UNCW, Wilmington is the best school for me and I see myself finding who I want to be and being able to become that person.
Why I want to go to prep. Prep is is my dream high school. My father went to Prep, my Grandfather went to Prep, and many other people in my family went to Prep. It also has a good educational program which I'm excited to be integrated into if I get in! I want to go to Prep because I like everyone else, I want to learn.
Attending college wasn’t an obligation of mine but a choice that I took. My reasons are probably just like everyone else’s at my age. I wanted a better life for myself in the future that didn’t involve living paycheck by paycheck. Obtaining a college degree has such a strong influence on one’s life. College has been a dream of mine since I was little.
